Over the last years, we noticed that the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) was not controllable anymore at sweet pepper growers. The aphid became less sensitive against the new insecticide Flonicamid. Therefore, Koppert decided to start investigating this problem and to conduct research. Four natural enemies were tested in cages with sweet pepper plants with aphid densities. The tested natural enemies were Aphidius matricariae, Aphidius colemani, Aphidoletes aphidimyza, and P14. Every week it was monitored how many aphids were there. The trials showed the best results with Aphidius matricariae and the ladybug P14. With low aphid densities, matricariae was doing a very good job. Continuous research will be done in order to get the best solutions.
