It’s been a long time, but we’re back! We’re kicking things off with the brand new Bentley Continental GT Speed.

The British automaker claims that its the most dynamic road car yet. With increased power and major changes to the chassis and gearbox, in fact a lot has changed to the chassis.

More grunt from the 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine, producing 650bhp and 900Nm of torque. It’s transferred via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with launch control, so despite the car’s hefty weight of 2,244kg.

0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 208mph. Bentley have re-calibrated it’s gearbox which shifts twice as fast in Sport mode.

An optional carbon-ceramic brake system has been introduced to ensure the Speed stops as well as it goes. The 10-piston front calipers are joined by four-piston rear items, while the carbon-ceramic material for the discs helps shave 33kg of unsprung mass compared with a standard steel brake set-up.

We’ll get a proper road test of this later on in the year, but for now. I got to experience whether it’s any good at being pushed to the limit on a track.
