Silent bike wheels versus loud bike wheels. Which do you prefer when you freewheel down that
next descent?

Hey Spin - is your freehub noisy? This is a question we get asked by potential new customers quite often. So in this short video you can hear it for yourself - back in the bike shed and out on the road.

Our freehub internals are made from hardened steel and ratchet 48 times every revolution whenever you stop pedalling. This means that when you're ready to put the power back on, drive is instant, with just 7.5 degrees of freedom between the hammer going down and power being delivered to the rear wheel.

So it shouldn't come as a shock to learn that our freehub mechanism isn't entirely silent. But in my experience, I'd say it's not as loud as some famously buzzing but most excellent freehubs I've also had the pleasure of riding.
