How to replace the battery in a 2014 1.0 ECOBOOST Ford Focus without the extra hassle of removing the air box and wiring loom.

The battery was original and the car has done just over 80k miles and is 9 years old. So the battery had done well. It was around £120 from Halfords. They were trying to scare me in to getting them to replace it. It’s probably best to check you manual to make sure there isn’t any warning regarding disconnecting the battery although I have yet to here about anyone having problems.

Some workshops but a device in the cigarette lighter socket that keeps a charge going and one guy on YouTube left the car running. No idea if that is wise.

I think checking the manual is a good check.
