We have some exciting news to announce today. Rally driver, and a legend of a bloke, Chris Atkinson will be joining the CarExpert team as our performance tester and will host a new series on the CarExpert channel focusing on performance reviews and today I wanted to introduce him to you with an interview, so you could get to know him.

This isn't a try-hard Top Gear knock off, or a Chris Harris session where we go through 20 sets of tyres to film a car review. Chris will be doing technical reviews of cars on a race track and give you his expert opinion on how they drive and what he's feeling behind the wheel.

Why are we not doing a tyre frying session with massively high production values and cinema quality? Firstly, we don't have time...Chris will have access to cars for a couple of hours at the track and despite how it appears, Top Gear episodes and most highly produced cinematic videos take days to produce and require dozens of staff to make happen.

You guys like the laid back, straight to the point, detailed format of Paul's car reviews, so that's how we'll be shooting these. As always, we would love your feedback. Let us know what you love, what you hate and what you want to see more or less of. We will, as always, take your feedback on board.
