These two great drawing tips will revolutionise your drawing, because it solves two problems. For example, do you find it hard to decide what to draw when faced with a beautiful landscape or a group of objects? It's hard to decide which bits to draw. So many hills, trees or objects and that's before you start on working out tonal values. This easy drawing art tutorial will help you. I explain how to create a viewfinder that uses 'thirds' so you can isolate the best view for your drawing. The reason I suggest using thirds is that it aids composition, therefore creating a better drawing. using thirds has been used in drawing and painting since the time of the Ancient Greeks.
I also explain how to look for tones in the landscape and show you how to create a simple rule that will solve the tonal problem. This basic rule will explain how tones get lighter as they recede into the distance. It also explains that the difference between light and shade in the foreground is great, but in the background of the landscape the difference is so much less.
The video will help beginners and those more experienced artists solve some of the issues surrounding drawing the landscape and develop their drawing skills.
