The uncertainty principle lies at the heart of quantum physics, and it deals with how the measurement of an observable interferes with the measurement of another observable. We explained what are incompatible observables in this video, and derived the well known Heisenberg uncertainty principle that governs these observables pair. We further illustrate with examples situations where minimum uncertainty can be achieved. In a follow-up video, we will also show how one can derive a similar uncertainty relation in Fourier transform pairs.
