Dubai To Build World's Tallest Residential Building


New York's breathtaking Central Park Tower is set to lose its crown as the world's tallest residential building, with developers unveiling a 'hypertower' in Dubai they hope will surpass the Manhattan structure's cloudscraping 1,550ft (472m) height.

The building, called Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, is a collaboration between Emirati property development company Binghatti and watchmaker Jacob & Co. In a statement, they state that the aim is 'to set a record as one of the tallest residential constructions in the world'.

The Central Park Tower has 98 storeys - the plan is for 'ultra-luxury' Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences to boast 100 of them. And it won't just be the height that'll be eye-catching. Renderings show how the building will wear a 'crown' of diamond-shaped spires.

Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences in Business Bay is an architectural masterpiece for an exclusive lifestyle. It is a record-breaking residential tower surpassing the expectations with its impeccable design, central address, and unique services. As the stunning tower is a joint project of Binghatti Developers and Jacob & Co, it boasts an incredible design. The design is inspired by horological movements in Jacob & Co watches. The tower has also a crown on top of it boasting the elegance and exquisiteness of Jacob & Co jewelries. These amazing features are complemented with other features.

It's promised that the building – which will 'stand opulently in the heart of Dubai's most eminent financial district, Business Bay' – will be glamorous on the inside, too.

A statement says: 'The proposed design comprises over 100 storeys that are made of lavish two-bedroom and three-bedroom residences.

'This hypertower also houses a dedicated concierge team, offering a la carte services such as daycare, bodyguard, chauffeur and private chef.'

At the top of Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, meanwhile, will be 'five of the most luxurious and exclusive penthouses in Dubai'.

Jacob Arabo, Chairman and Creative Director of Jacob & Co, said: 'Floating on top of the world, they offer boundless views of the city's skyline, including Downtown and the Dubai Water Canal.

'Inspired from our high watchmaking collections, these penthouses will consist of three types, each named after our flagship Jacob & Co timepieces Fleurs De Jardin, Astronomia and Billionaire.

'The interior design of the penthouse collection will be directly inspired by their unique aesthetics. As suggested by the name, the Billionaire Penthouse is the hypertower's jewel in the crown.'
