In today's video I start taking apart my old BMW E36 engine (the m50 or more specifically the m50b25tu). This teardown may apply to e34 m50 and e36 m52 & s50 engine applications as well! Here, I cover how to remove the VANOS unit and take the entire cylinder head off the engine block prior to removing the notoriously fragile camshafts. I have no plans yet on this m50 motor, but I'm either going to start a long-term forged internals build or a simple rebuild. But I'm open to ideas and suggestions!
