Emily Bensen is the Deputy Director of Integrate health global. A non-profit devoted to ending preventable deaths of women and children in Togo, West Africa, by creating a primary healthcare system that works for those who need it most. Emily Bensen has been strengthening health systems since 2014 through her work with Integrate Health, a growing global health organisation whose mission is to make quality primary healthcare accessible to all. As Program Coordinator based in Togo, West Africa, Emily facilitated the launch of the integrated primary care pilot serving a population of 40,000 Togolese. Taking the lead from their patients and working alongside government, Integrate Health is scaling this innovative model to make high-quality healthcare accessible to all.
Since assuming her role as Deputy Director in 2016, Emily has significantly contributed to the growth of the organisation’s annual budget three-fold, their personnel two-fold, and the population served from 40,000 to 93,000.
