In Ladakh the cab is not directly available on per day basis rate. Tourists need to hire a Cab from the Leh Cab association on the basis of fixed rate according to the route. Tourist who are coming from Srinagar may not be able to use their Srinagar Cab for travelling in and around Leh. Cab syndicate is really strong here and one need to book a cab from the syndicate only, the next cab on the rotation will be allotted to the tourist. Again if you hire a cab from Leh, you may not be able to visit places around Kargil as local Kargil syndicate will force tourist to hire a local cab for Kargil sightseeing.
