Here's a video about the Hepworth GB1 Can-Am car doing some demo runs on the Goodwood's hillclimb course during the 2022 Festival of Speed. This particular machine was born after the project for the last ever BRM Formula 1 car, the BRM P230, was cancelled after the testing stage. The chassis of the P230 was bought by the Hepworths who turned the car to the single seater Can-Am regulations that were in place in the early '80s.

The GB1 was powered by a 5.0-litre Chaparral prepared Chevrolet V8 engine and it was a full ground-effect car. Again, the chassis never got passed the testing stage. After some tests in the UK, the Hepworth GB1 was shipped to the States for further development where it suffered a serious accident severly damaging the chassis and suspension.
Eventually the car would run under the Garvin Brown Racing banner in the final two event of 1980 (Laguna Seca and Riverside) driven by future Indy 500 winner Danny Sulivan.

The team withdraw and the Hepworths brought the car, a couple of years later, back to the United Kingdom. The GB1 would stay in their workshop for years until recently they decided to fully repair and rebuild the car, showing the final result at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2017.
