Sharing my experience why I go under my house into the crawlspace. I don't like it, but it is necessary despite the dark, damp dirt, and spiderwebs.

It is important to check on your foundation for two reasons:

1. Make sure you are buying a good foundation. Don't just trust a home inspector.
2. Make sure you know the problem areas before you call in a pier and beam foundation repair contractor to get a bid.
