There are plenty of battery-electric car startups. Hyperion believes hydrogen is a far better way to launch a car from 0-60 miles an hour in 2.2 seconds. This is a preview of the XP-1 that will be built in Ohio and available in late 2021. Tom Voelk interviews Hyperion CEO and founding member Angelo Kafantaris on why he and his team believe hydrogen is the future and why NASA and Mattel played a part in the birth of the XP-1. This is largely a video interview but packed with information and pictures (sorry about the low quality video and audio). A later video will focus on why Kafantaris believes hydrogen is easier and more efficient to produce than you might think.
