This is a couple car comparison of the 2022 Subaru Forester and the 2022 Nissan Rogue, both of these compact SUVs received updates for 2022.The Nissan Rogue has a new 1.5L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine matched to a CVT, 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The Rogue is a little bit longer than the Forester, they offer the same front row legroom space but the Forester has almost an inch more second row legroom. Overall cargo capacity and space behind the second row goes to the Rogue. The Rogue also offers an available Divide-N-Hide cargo system to give you multiple options to store your items; this is standard on the SL trim. Both the Forester and Rogue have their own unique style with large doors making it easy to get car seats and kids in and out of the vehicle. Both offer a comfortable and spacious interior with similar standard features, however the Rogue gets a larger 8” touchscreen, available 9” and the Forester 6.5”, available 8” touchscreen. The Forester does not have a wireless charger, head-up display or wireless Apple Carplay, which is available on the Rogue. Both do not have ventilated front seats available on any trim.The Rogue gets best in class fuel economy with its new turbocharged engine getting 8.4L/100km, 28 MPG in the city and 6.7L/100km, 35 MPG on the highway. The Forester gets 9L/100 km, 26 MPG city and 7.2L/100km, 33 MPG highway.In Canada, the Rogue AWD with the non-turbo engine starts at $31,448 CAD. The base turbocharged model starts at $35,748 CAD/$28,350 USD and the top trim is $42,398 CAD/$38,130 USD. The Forester starts at $29,495 CAD/$25,195 USD and the top trim is $40,595 CAD/$35,295 USD.
