Introductory lesson on ECGs including Einthoven’s triangle, lead placement, limb, augmented and precordial leads. Reading and understanding ECGs is an incredibly important skill in medicine. Before we can understand some of the complexities of ECG reading, it is important to understand the basics of the ECG. For instance, it is important to understand Einthoven’s triangle, which is dictated by limb lead placement. It is also important to know the limb leads and their placement along with the augmented leads and precordial leads.
