Mandarin has 4 tones, but did you know there is a 5th one? This is the so-called neutral tone or 轻声/輕聲 qing1sheng1 which means "light tone".

In this video, we show you how you can write and recognize a neutral tone using pinyin, and how it changes in different situations.
