We take our friend’s 2021 Hellcat Redeye Widebody Charger to the dragstrip and make some 1/4 mile passes to test the Stock Pirelli Tires against Mickey Thompson Drag Radials. The stock Pirelli’s are 305/35/20 whereas the Mickey Thompson’s are 325/35/18. For the dragstrip, there is no comparison as the Mickey Thompson’s are one of the best DOT tires available for traction on the launch. Once we bolted on the Mickey Thompson’s, our 60 foot times dropped by 4 tenths and our 1/4 mile time was 6 tenths quicker and 2 mph faster.

The Charger was equipped with the supercharged 6.2L engine which makes 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. The day we raced the Hellcat is was April 20, 2022, which sadly was only three (3) days before Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) locked its gates and closed forever.

Tell us what you think about the Hellcat Charger Redeye and what you think about the 1/4 mile runs.
