Tony Gilroy changed Hollywood with several popular and successful films of the late 1990s and early 21st century, including the entire Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) trilogy - The Bourne Identity (2002), The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007) of action-espionage films. Gilroy redefined the action genre. In 2007, he made the jump to directing with Michael Clayton, an effective character drama about a legal troubleshooter (George Clooney) who undergoes a moral crisis. The picture earned him numerous award nominations, including dual Oscar nods for Best Director and Best Screenplay. Gilroy is one of the most sort after directors and screenwriters.
Oscar winner Julia Roberts and Clive Owen reunite for Duplicity, from writer/director Tony Gilroy (seven-time Oscar-nominated Michael Clayton). In the film, they star as spies-turned-corporate operatives in the midst of a clandestine love affair. When they find themselves on either side of an all-out corporate war, they discover the toughest part of the job is deciding how much to trust the one you love.
