- the 6.1" size makes one-hand mode handling
- premium feel and weight
- currently, iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max has a slightly bigger camera housing than the 13 series and earlier iPhones

DISPLAY:
- 6.1" LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED
- 120Hz SRR is wow
- the 2000 nits brightness makes using iPhone 14 Pro outdoor and direct sunlight with ease and visibility
- symmetrical bezels around the screen
- dynamic island takes some getting used to
- personally, I rarely use the dynamic island for feature and apps access
- Superb color and vividness
- Widevine L1
- supports 5 point finger touches
- the AOD feature is finally fixed

SOUND:
- real stereo dual speaker
- impressive overall combination of bass, highs and lows
- not super loud but in terms of quality, it is top 1

CONNECTIVITY:
- 4G/LTE, 5G, VoLTE
- Wifi 2.4Ghz/5Ghz, Wifi 6
- BT 5.3 and NFC
- Airdrop is impressively fast
- GPS has 5 meters accuracy
- mobile data reception is very good

CAMERA:
- 48MP, 12MP, 12MP, all delivers high quality video and pictures as expected
- video records up to 4K@60fps
- supports 2x and 3x Zoom using the 12MP telephoto
- superb dynamic and clarity with very good HDR effect
- bokeh effect on images is great
- I love the Cinematic mode as it blurs the background of the subject and gives the feel of movie making.
- flagship level photography and videography
- Overall, iPhone 14 Pro camera is excellent but not the best in my opinion

BATTERY:
- 3,200mAh battery can last for a solid 1 day use only unless you are a heavy user which might only give you until the afternoon.
- for the past 6 months, I can honestly say that the iPhone 14 Pro has greatly improved on battery life with the current iOS 16.3 updates
- the first 3 months was frustrating and battery gets drained around the afternoon
- but after the iOS 16.2 update, battery has greatly improved

PERFORMANCE:
- as expected from Apple Bionic 16, the performance is beastly
- All heavy games can be run on very high to Ultra settings

VERDICT:
- iPhone 14 Pro is still in my opinion an overpriced smartphone device
- a lot of Android smartphones right now can compare toe to toe with what the iPhone 14 series can offer
- but if you just prefer the Apple ecosystem, the iPhone 14 Pro is a great choice for those who prefer smaller frame with the same performance and features as the 14 Pro Max
- in terms of software updates and security, I suppose, the iPhone 14 Pro is one to really look out for
- but in my honest and personal opinion, if you are not worried about China and Korean smartphone brands, the iPhone 14 Pro is not my top choice.
- there are similar alternative in terms of camera and other features but at a much lower price
- Samsung S23 alone can easily beat the iPhone 14 Pro series
- Oppo flagship series has more impressive specs with half the price
- if you like gaming, there are even more better Android smartphone alternatives with gaming-focused features.
- FINALLY, iPhone 14 Pro delivers all its promises but it is just not the best choice for me.
