Dr. Heath D. Schmidt is an Assistant Professor in the department of Biobehavioral Health Sciences in the School of Nursing and the department of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His laboratory currently focuses on identifying novel neurobiological mechanisms underlying nicotine, cocaine and prescription opioid addiction-like behaviors.
