“Built To Fail” is a song by Welsh alternative rock band Mass Envy, and is their first single, released in January 2020. The music was written by guitarist Mark Evans and lead singer/guitarist Stephen Light, with the lyrics written by Light. The song was produced by Richard Jackson.

The song opens with a pacy driving rhythym section before evolving into an expansive and melodic chorus. For the latter half of the song, the band take the tune into an instrumental outro which evokes krautrock and progressive space-rock influences. The songs main first person lyrical theme is repeatedly disappointing and failing the hopes of loved ones, and giving up on remedying this due to failed repeat attempts and experiencing false allegations.
