This video shows you how to install a new water pump and timing belt kit on your 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner (3.4L 5VZ-FE). The timing belt ensures that the crankshaft and cam shafts are rotating in sync with each other, ensuring the engine is running properly. In some applications, the water pump is also driven by the timing belt, meaning both should be replaced at the same time!
