In this video, I continue working on the full-frame digital scanner camera project. I did several changes (and hopefully improvements) to the device, so I decided to make an update-video about it. I replaced the scanner mechanism with a "more mobile" one. I ditched the miniature linear bearing and decided to make a sliding rail mechanism similar to the mechanism I built for my focus stacking rig. I also added limit switches to both ends of the rail so the device knows the start and end points of the scanning. Finally, I improved the PC software that captures the data from the CCD. Now, I can see the image in real time while it is being scanned.

The next steps will be to add an SD card module, a display, a few buttons and a battery so the camera will become portable.
