The Detroit Benchmarking Ordinance requires commercial, industrial and multi family buildings to report their utility data using the EPA’s ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Buildings over 100k are required to begin reporting in 2024 and buildings over 25k sq ft to begin reporting in 2025.

This video is an overview of the steps required to comply to the ordinance, as well as many resources for reporters.
