This is a Motormouth couple car review of the new 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. The Hyundai Santa Fe was introduced on this new platform just two model years ago and already they have updates this popular compact utility with three new powertrains, a refreshed exterior and a whole new interior. Hyundai is relentless with the updates to its vehicles antis new 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe showcases that fact. The three new powertrains include a base 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine with an 8 speed automatic transmission with 191 horsepower and181 lb-ft of Torque. There is a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with an 8 speed dual clutch transmission with 277 horsepower and 311 lb-ft torque. In addition, Hyundai has added a Hybrid option using a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a 6 speed automatic paired with a 1.49 kWh battery pack with an electric motor. Total output is 226 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The base Santa Fe compact SUV comes with an 8-inch touch screen with standard apple CarPlay and android auto but buyers need to get the top Calligraphy trim, seen her, to get the 12.3-inch driver's display and the 10.25-inch display audio system. This model also get the Nappa leather, Harman Kardon stereo and a head-up display to name a few additional items. Even though the base Santa Fe competes with other compact SUVs, this top Calligraphy Sats Fe is competing with premium brands or mid-size SUVs. It will be interesting to see if buyers will chose this expensive model at almost $48,000.
