There are many ways to put the brace on depending on your mobility level. Here is another way to apply the shoulder brace.
1. Adjust the bicep's strap to the velcro's maximum size and then slip your injured arm through.
2. Place the brace on the affected shoulder to cover the area where you need the most support. You can put it higher or lower on the arm as needed.
3. Reach for the chest strap, wrap it around the chest and feed it through the front buckle. Pull it tight until it's comfortable but supportive.
4. Readjust the bicep strap until the brace feels well in place.
5. Add targeted compression by pulling the velcro of the pressure pad.

The Ultimate Buyers Guide to Shoulder Braces
A shoulder brace is a sling-like device designed to support and strengthen your shoulder. Shoulder braces are not for day-to-day use, but rather for individuals who have experienced a shoulder injury.
A shoulder brace can be used to heal your shoulder quickly and avoid such damage. Unlike a basic sling, shoulder braces provide stronger, more reliable support.
As your rehab progresses, a shoulder brace can be used to increase “proprioception”—your sense of how your body is positioned.

Sports-specific technique – work slowly through the technique of your sport of choice to test whether the pain levels experienced are dropping and whether mobility is slowly coming back to your shoulder joint.
Flexibility – flexibility on your shoulder joint will now have to be part of your ongoing regime.
Core stability – A strong core allows the trunk muscles to transfer kinetic energy to the shoulder for overhead activities. You should ensure that your core is strong by regularly doing core-strengthening exercises.
Rotator-cuff control – Strength and flexibility work performed on the shoulder joint is required to ensure that the muscles and tendons that make it up are perfectly balanced.
General strength - Once the essential issues of technique, flexibility core stability, and rotator-cuff control are being implemented, we then should also look at the periphery of the body to make sure that muscular imbalances do not create the conditions for fresh injury.
