After it seemed like her life had been put on pause for four years, Carola Garra is yet again preparing for Sheffield.

Garra was the first lifter to know that she would not be able to attend Sheffield 2020 as pandemic lockdowns began in Italy, after which the 63kg world champion took a break from classic powerlifting.

Returning to worlds last year and reclaiming her title and world record total, Garra is now once again Sheffield bound and has her eyes locked on the top spot.
