What is a wave?
A wave is the exchange of information through a medium.
Waves can be defined as energy that is transferred from one place to another
through a medium.
There are so many waves that you may have heard of, including sea waves,
heat waves, light waves, and so on.
A wave is a disturbance in a medium that carries energy without a net
movement of particles.
 
Important terms related to waves: 
Time Period: The time it takes to complete one vibration.
Frequency: The number of vibrations completed in a single second.
Wavelength: The distance traveled by the wave in a single time period.
Amplitude: The maximum distance traveled by a particle in a vertical direction.
Velocity: Distance traveled by the wave in one second.
