I figured out how to make my Dakota Alert driveway alarm send notifications to my phone. Using the Ring alarm system, now I know when someone enters my driveway when I'm away. I originally went with the Dakota Alert driveway alarm because it uses a metal detector instead of a motion sensor to alert you when someone is in the driveway. Motion detector alarms send false alarms when animals like deer enter. I couldn't find a driveway alarm system that sent notifications to my phone so I made my own with this hack.
