In webinar we're taking a look at how Leicestershire Police have been using core technology to replace a complex legacy system designed to track assets, including the incapacitant sprays used by officers to stay safe and keep the public safe.

Leicestershire Police share how they avoided the costs and efforts of procuring a bespoke and dedicated system and instead used the Microsoft 365 capabilities available at no additional cost. The result is a system that is very simple to use with an asset tracker that can be accessed and updated by colleagues via their force mobile phone by simply scanning the QR code attached to the asset.

This approach integrates the access and identity of the users, already held in Microsoft 365, and leverages the data structures and audit capabilities already included in the common blueprints for forces.

The forces’ ‘Do It’ team will be joining the live webinar so you can ask questions via our Questions and Answers feature, and they will explain how they are further developing the solution and building on the learning from it to improve other business areas.

This ‘Asset Tracker’ application will join the dozens of other solutions in the Police Digital Service Solutions Catalogue in a few weeks’ time, following some further development and wider implementation across the force.
