Crypto Against All Odds will be a very familiar game to the vast majority of game players. The core gameplay mechanics closely resemble Plants Vs. Zombies which came out over a decade ago. Crypto presents itself with a completely different coat of paint and some variance in the gameplay overall. The biggest drawback however, is that the overall mix of weapons and enemies don't present clear strategic decisions in the game. The result is a tower defense game that feels like a rush to build offenses for the incoming onslaught regardless of there being weapons better suited for different situations. Which guns you have didn't seem to matter as much as just having guns. Regardless of this, Crypto still gives an entertaining and challenging experience. It's worthwhile for any tower defense fan, but please, make sure you play Plants Vs. Zombies fist because that game is a treasure.
