THIS TIME NEXT YEAR

Farewell was painful as the time drew near; so long a
Time before this time next year; they promised to hold
Each moment dear 'til they meet this time next year.
Sweet the smell of the morning's dew; their love was
Innocent, pure, and new. He brushed the tear from her
Cheek and made her promises that he would keep; be
Brave her love, her dear, for she will not see you this time next
Year.
