You don’t always need big tyres and a big engine to have some bush flying fun! In this video we do some STOL (short takeoff and landing) practise in the 150 horsepower Cessna 172.

This is a 1977 C172N and has no aerodynamic modifications, just the original paint!

With 10 degrees of flap, the C172 exhibits adequate short takeoff performance, and the 40 degree flaps help with good short landing performance.

However, it must be stated, don’t do any new type of flying without adequate flight instruction first from an experienced instructor!
