The new TLX has big shoes to fill at Acura being simultaneously the 3-Series competitor in the line and the flagship now that the RLX has left. The new TLX platform is less space efficient than before, resulting in the combination of a mid-sized exterior and a compact category interior. On the other hand that interior is now world class and designed to do battle with not just the Lexus ES, but the German competition as well, and that's the measure by which we must judge the new Acura.
