After making the switch to the faster TC class with the Gogogear.com Hyundai Genesis Coupe Platform, I had a lot of learning to do to get used to the car. I am super thankful to the team for making the change as smooth as it could have been. With only a few sessions in the car I was able to show constant improvement and continue to find lap time and confidence to put the car on pole for the race with a great 1:57.802 lap time. About a second off of the class record at the track. Unfortunately, the momentum from qualifying did not continue to the race. Somehow I always manage to break something, and the #31 suffered from a throttle sensor failure that ended my race from the lead after a few laps. Next up is Sonoma, and I know that the competition will be just as tough. Can't wait to make up the lost points there.
