This 1/12 scale replica of the Little Joe LJ-1A round was flown at the Austin Area Rocketry Group launch in November, 2021. This model stands just over 4 feet tall (1231mm), and weighs only 1450 grams. Construction is primarily of rolled 1/64"-thick plywood, with styrene sheet fascias. Additional parts are made of assorted styrene shapes, custom-cast resin elements, fiberglass tubes, and laser-cut plywood. There are approximately 24,000 rivet details on the model.

The model flies on a single Aerotech G40-4 motor, with four Estes A10-PT motors simulating the clustered operation of the prototype. A PerfectFlite miniTimer4 electronic staging timer ignites an Estes B6-2 motor in the base of the boilerplate Mercury capsule to simulate the operation of the escape tower.
