Nowadays it is easy to think of The Simpsons as a long running (and seemingly never ending) animated series that makes a number of eerie predictions. Well, you wouldn’t be wrong there- but at the core of The Simpsons is their ever relatable and loveable characters, who despite being odd, eccentric and sometimes just plain weird still have a sense of reality at their core. It’s these characters that really flesh out the show and make it as loveable as it is. But there may be times when the characters are so relatable that you recognize them from somewhere, but you just can’t put your finger on where and who they remind you of. That’s because there are a number of characters in the show that are based on very real people- some rather loosely, some a little closer.

In this video, we will take a look at 10 (or so) Simpsons characters who were based on real people. From characters based on major business tycoons, 80s action heroes, real life doctors and some of the most powerful people in the world. Get ready to see double (well, kind of, but not really) as we look at these real life caricatures.
