Featured is the chess game between Gata Kamsky and Ding Liren from the 2011 Aeroflot Open. Ding plays the French Defense and exerts pressure on Kamsky’s center with both of his flank pawns. The position quickly turns dynamic once there is a queenside imbalance. After Ding obtains a 4:3 majority, he strikes in the center. The ‘pin’ tactic shines though in this game, with several of them surfacing towards Kamsky’s more vulnerable king.
