I used a 2x6 and some plywood, and made a rustic and distressed wooden dog bed for Lucky.

I used some angle iron and some bolts in the corners, then spray painted them with a hammered black paint.
I distressed the wood with nails and a hammer to give it a weathered look, and gave it a two-tone coloured look with two different wood stains.
