Buyers of midsize sedans typically want ample space for passengers and their cargo, and a comfortable ride, and in that regard, both the 2021 Volkswagen Passat and 2021 Kia K5 meet expectations. Beyond that, though, we think the 2021 Kia K5 is just a little bit better. Its styling is more modern, it has different drive modes and engine choices, and its looks are more distinctive and memorable.
