SPEED, SUN & FUN / +300 KPH TOP SPEED / 30° CELSIUS GUARANTEED / POWERSLIDES, PITSTOPS & PARTIES / GOOSEBUMPS moments

My F1 car owned by Simon Tuner is a 1992 Brabham Judd V10 with +650HP, +-650kg, fat slick tyres, an incredible sound up to the material-protecting speed limit of 10,000 rpm, a very sharp-gripping racing clutch and an H gearstick that takes a bit of getting used to. Guys, my generation doesn't know an H-shift in a racing car. It's a lot of work to change gears. With my biceps, it's not a problem in terms of power, but hitting the right gear as quickly as possible is a real challenge without practice.

FORMULA 1 70s+ / 1970 to 1985
Considered grand prix racing’s golden era, the men were macho and the racing (and sponsors) dangerous.

The beautiful story behind it: In 1992, exactly 30 years ago, the Roman Giovanna Amati, then yy years old, drove her F1 qualifying in an official F1 race. She was the last female starter in a formal race, although she could not qualify for the race because of the 107% rule. Damon Hill then celebrated his F1 debut in this car as Amati's successor, although he and the Brabham probably never became real friends. Right, #DamonHill?

The second edition of the GHDGPR is set to be bigger and even better with two new racing classes, 100 thoroughbred racing cars, well-known period and contemporary racing drivers from around the globe. For drivers, car owners, fans and corporate partners alike, the GHDGPR is a novel opportunity to share their need for speed, whilst enjoying the fabulous hospitality for which Dubai is famous.

4 EXCITING RACING CATEGORIES
In addition to Formula 1 70s+ and Sports Cars 80+ monsters, this year the event will field 2 new categories for Formula 1 90s from 1988-1995 and GT & Prototype 00s weapons from 1994-2010.

In this video, I'm taking my FIRST LAPS in a F1 BRABHAM JUDD V10 - a dream come true!

WORLD CHAMPIONS CONFIRMED FOR GHDGPR
- Three-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, André Lotterer, to compete at the upcoming Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival
- Oliver Webb aiming to retain his title in James Hunt’s Hesketh 308B
- Sophia Flörsch and Nicolas Prost among others also confirmed

With less than two weeks to go until lights out at this year’s Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival, a grid of world champions and race-winning drivers is now confirmed to do battle in the desert.

André Lotterer, the three-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and 2012 FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Champion, will be competing at the event. The German-Belgian driver will be competing for Avalanche Andretti in Season 9 of Formula E. For over a decade, he has also competed in the Japanese Super Formula series, winning the title in 2011.

After taking the top step of the podium at last year’s Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival, Oliver Webb will be aiming to retain his title this month. Webb will once again be behind the wheel of an iconic British racing machine, James Hunt’s first grand prix winning car, the Hesketh 308b.

GT FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Championship winner, Michael Christensen, will also be taking to the track during the event.
Joining Lotterer, Christensen and Webb, will be Porsche drivers Matt Campbell and Matthieu Jaminet, who will be aiming to build on their recent success in the IMSA GT Pro series.
Taking to the track at the wheel of the Brabham BT608B at this year’s Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival is Sophia Flörsch. Currently competing in the European Le Mans series, Sophia has two podiums to her name, and will be racing a Formula One car for the first time at the event.
Another famous name that will be forming part of the grid is Nicolas Prost, former Formula E race winner and World Endurance Championship racer. The son of four-time Formula One World Champion, Alain Prost, Nicolas is currently competing in the Ultimate Cup Series.
Matthieu Baumel, a four-time Dakar Rally winner, will also be striving for the top step of the podium as he sets his pacenotes aside to get behind the wheel.
This star-studded line-up of drivers will be bringing the heat to the Dubai Autodrome between 25-27 November, reigniting the flame of motorsport history behind the wheels of iconic Formula One and sports car machinery.

Fans visiting the Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival will see legendary Formula One cars, such the Williams FW07, Alain Prost’s Ferrari 643 and Michael Schumacher’s Benetton B192. Joining these magnificent racers is one of the most recognisable Le Mans winners, the stunning Porsche 962.
