This season I am focused on timely pruning of my trees and shrubs. I garden in Michigan (Zone 6a) and there are a number of shrubs that need to be pruned in late winter/early spring.
In this video, I am showing you how I prune my red stem dogwood to keep it looking lush and healthy during the growing season.
If you are looking for a great variegated dogwood for your garden, Cornus alba 'Elegantissima' is a great shrub for your landscape. I included a link to Monrovia below.
