John Wick used to be a hitman who left his violent past behind to settle down with his wife Helen. She succumbed to a terminal disease and left him a puppy named Daisy as a last present. His mourning was cut short when some Russian crooks invaded his home, took his car, and murdered his dog. John found out that the boss of the gang was Iosef Tarasov, the son of his ex-boss Viggo, who ran a powerful criminal organization. John resolved to get back at Iosef and his cronies, unleashing his deadly abilities and sparking a conflict with Viggo and his forces. On his quest, he met old allies and foes, such as Marcus, another killer who was paid by Viggo to eliminate John, and Winston, the manager of a hotel that acted as a safe haven for the underworld. John overcame many hurdles and trials, but he was driven to avenge his dog and honor his wife’s legacy.
