Many individuals take the path of an education in holistic nutrition when a health issue affects themselves and/or family. For MHNE graduate Debbie Bockhold, conditions such as high blood pressure and digestion issues lead to a career in nutrition; she has ten years coaching groups and individual clients with the help of social media. Debbie will share her educational journey and how it lead to her own business helping and supporting others to reach their nutritional goals, one day at a time.

Debbie Bockhold graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education program. Debbie also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from California State University Fullerton. She worked as a CPA until starting her family. Her family health issues renewed her interest in nutrition. Debbie briefly worked for a holistic health practitioner who attended Hawthorn University and decided to further her knowledge by also enrolling in Hawthorn. She has been managing a nutrition based social media group for 10 years where she educates and coaches groups and individual members. The prevalence of diabetes motivated her to focus in this area and in weight management. She can be found in her new office at the Tennis Club at Monarch Beach. She leads an active lifestyle hiking with family, friends, and clients.
