Donald Trump has been fined $9,000 by the judge overseeing his criminal trial and warned he could be jailed for a month if he continues to breach court orders by attacking expected witnesses in the case.

The former president was accused by prosecutors of breaching so-called gag orders made by Judge Juan Merchan in ten statements on his social media platform and on his website, assailing the porn star Stormy Daniels and Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen.
