From Prince to Nina Simone, there are no shortage of otherworldly musical talents in Black history who are celebrated for their contributions, but Chevalier introduces us to one of our lesser known icons in the form of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges.

The wildly entertaining period drama follows the life of virtuoso violinist, champion fencer and revolutionary Joseph Bologne (played by Kelvin Harrison Jr.) as he navigates racially charged climate of 18th century France to become heralded as one of the defining figures of his era.
