Former Labor MP Michael Danby has blasted Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for being “infatuated” with his “own self-importance” at a rally against men’s violence on Sunday.

Mr Albanese was heckled at a ‘No More’ rally against men’s violence in Canberra over the weekend.

The rally was attended by 5,000 people.

“He obviously has been infatuated with his own self-importance,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“Even if you think that the person who is the ostensible chair of this public gathering is rude, you don’t indicate it – particularly when it’s on a serious issue like violence against women.”
