An authenticity expert from designer consignment shop The RealReal in New York City taught Insider producer Kyle Kerchaert how to spot replicas of popular designer jewelry. We took a look at some of the most iconic jewelry pieces around: the Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra necklace with 20 motifs, the Hermès Clic Clac H bracelet, Elsa Peretti's bib necklace for Tiffany & Co., the Cartier Love bracelet, and the David Yurman Cable Classic bracelet. Jewelry-authenticity expert Katherine Ward put us to the test to see if we could determine the real designer jewelry pieces from their knockoffs.
