Part 1: 40106 Hex (6) Oscillator Bank
Difficulty: Easy
Price: ~13$. Mostly for panel components, with 6 potentiometers and 12 jacks...

The first module I build is an oscillator bank with 6 square wave oscillators that can be used both as audio signal, and as CV, gate and clock signals. All with the help of one little chip. The Hex Schmitt Inverter 40106. Which has six inverters in it, that we can build the 6 oscillators around. An easy build that due to its high amount of potentiometers and jacks becomes "pricey" at 13$ ;)
